Open wet space focusing on one door
A single door for every person.  What
lies beyond the opening?

What reflections in the pond, mirror the sky?
What black hole surrounds the door?
Opening to another reality, away from war,
away from fear and  life as I know it.

Looking, waiting, and reaching for the clouds
calling me to be more than human,
like the others who live beyond the door
Lowered into a golden rectangle of black
